![]() ![]() Torchlight 2 was released in 2012, but the developer ended up being shut down after being purchased by Perfect World Entertainment in 2017. Now it's on the Epic Games Store in a rather ironic turn of events. What's interesting about this situation is that Torchlight was originally a Steam exclusive when it first launched in 2009. The hack-and-slash RPG from 2009 is the next weekly freebie following Overcooked, and it's well worth grabbing, even if you're tuckered out from games that feel a lot like Diablo (or Diablo itself, if you've been playing on Switch.) But Torchlight features procedurally-generated dungeons that are still entertaining today, a decade later. Looking for something new to play via the Epic Games Store? You'll want to act fast and pick up your free copy of Torchlight from the platform, which is offering the game for free until July 18.
